The 5^th and 6^th graders will be hosting their own Olympics this week!!!

5^th Grade Social Studies ~~~~ Week of March 8^th: Monday- ISAT testing continues Working with Census 2010 Tuesday- ISAT testing continues Working with Census 2010/computer lab Wednesday- ISAT testing continues Working with Census 2010 Thursday- Classroom Olympics!! Friday- Classroom Olympics!! Week of March 01: ISAT testing this week. 5^th graders will continue in the book on the chapter about the constitution. Worksheets will be assigned. Because of schedule changes, students need to fill out their assignment books by class, as the classes may not be together for part of the week.

6^th Grade Social Studies ~~~~  Week of March 8^th: Monday- ISAT testing continues *Finish Ancient Rome test. Working with Census 2010 Tuesday- ISAT testing continues Working with Census 2010/computer lab Wednesday- ISAT testing continues Working with Census 2010 Thursday- Classroom Olympics!! Friday- Classroom Olympics!! Week of March 01: ISAT testing this week. 6^th graders were given a study guide for the test on Friday, over Ancient Rome. They need to use good study skills and go over all terms, reread chapters, make flashcards and prepare for essay. This is a big test for the end of the quarter. Test Friday!!!! Feature Friday- A schedule and requirements for Feature Friday was distributed to students. Students are expected to have their presentation ready to go on their assigned dates. 6^th Grade Language Arts: Week of March 8^th: Monday- ISAT testing continues The Iditarod- Reader’s Theater Tuesday- ISAT testing continues The Iditarod- Journals Wednesday- ISAT testing continues Iditarod- brainstorming devices Thursday- Computer Lab/ Mushers’ biographies Friday- The Iditarod- DOL Week of March 01: ISAT testing this week. Spelling review packet, 18, due Friday. No spelling test this week. Reviewing Social studies vocabulary for fluency and word structure. Run-On worksheet.

Win! We won our first matches against Avon on the 24^th. 246-155 and 82-48. Sam Hironimus-Wendt had the most toss-ups!

We will be off next week due to ISAT testing, and our next match will be Thursday, March 11^th at Carthage.
