                                    Geography Questions of the Week:

5th Grade: Using a world map, use these clues to find the mystery country:

This country is south of the equator and west of 60 degrees W longitude. Its capital is Lima.

 

6th Grade: Turn to the maps of the Western Hemisphere on page R12 and R13 of your social studies textbook. Then answer these questions about the Amazon River:

 

-In which mountain range is the source of the river?

-In which country is the mouth, or end, of the river?

-Into what body of water does the river empty?

Write the answers as sentences in a paragraph about the Amazon River.
