Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! This is my second year at the West Prairie Middle School and I am truly excited to be in this position once again. I hope you will find everything you need on this page but please note that lessons are subject to change. With all of us working together, I know that your child will have a successful school year. If you need to speak with me at school, my plan time is 9:00-9:40.

Begin section 3 emotions and behavior pgs.16-25. Work on getting vocab. words in notebook the entire week. Assignment is comprehension sheet pg. 29 due Wed.

Continue section 3 pages 16-25. In class group activity on defense mechanisms. Continue reading and discussion with partners.

Finish chapter #1, do questions in class on page 25. Begin a review of the chapter and finish vocab. notebooks.

Continue chapter 1 review and prepare for the first test on Monday or Tuesday depending on how the review goes.

Dress warm-up and begin an outdoor frisbie unit. Introduce flying disc horseshoe activity. Practice throwing at targets.

Dress warm up and practice frisbie skills such as faking, short passing, and pivoting with the frisbie game keep away.

Dress warm up and continue target throwing while playing frisbie bag game.

Dress warm up and introduce ultimate frisbie. Play in two small groups on two courts.

Begin section #3 with silent reading pages 54-58.  Do vocabulary words in notebook and discuss the section.

In assigned groups, begin collaborative effort on body systems posters.
