Reading

This week in reading we read the big book The Three Little Kittens by Paul Galdone. Our focus this week was summarizing. We practiced summarizing our story and other stories that we have read. We reviewed the words little and have.  The letter and letter sound we focused on was Kk.  Our letter and letter sound for next week will be Ww.

  Math

We did not have math this week because we had skating during P.E., so we had a full hour of skating! Next week we will begin adding numbers together.

Theme

 During theme time this week we did Valentine activities.  We made a lot of craft projects.  We hope that you have all enjoyed them.  We had a lot of fun making them for you.  We read Valentine books and sang Valentine’s songs.  We graphed our favorite Valentine’s Day candy.  We taste tested gum drops, jelly beans, candy hearts and Hershey Kisses.  Hershey Kisses was the class favorite.
