Understand how a function/formula changes in response to the manipulation of rows and columns

Define function

Define pointing (again)

When given a snapshot of a spreadsheet, be able to determine the correct result to a given funtion/formula.  Be able to do this for these functions for sure:  (Also, expect a few to be contain "nested" functions)

  • SUM
  • AVERAGE
  • MIN
  • MAX
  • IF
  • ROUND
  • PMT

Define/understand RELATIVE, ABSOLUTE and MIXED cell references

Be able to determine how a formula will appear, that contains each of the types of references above, after using the fill handle

Understand the different ways you can start a function

Understand error messages (look on p. 251-252)

Understand the steps to sorting

Define argument

Understand how many arguments in each type of function from this chapter
